My name is Michael Taylor-​​Judd, and I’m run­ning for Seattle City Council to bring a new vision and fresh ideas to a body that often seems to ignore the voices of neigh­bor­hoods and com­mu­ni­ties within our city.

I want this cam­paign to be dif­fer­ent. I still believe that a grass­roots, community-​​​​based
cam­paign can be run in this city. And I still believe that $25 donors are just as impor­tant as $250 donors who are just as impor­tant as cou­ples who can write a check for $1400. Everyone’s vote counts equally in this elec­tion, and everyone’s voice deserves to be heard.

I won’t be able to run a people-​​​​powered cam­paign with­out you – the peo­ple. If you agree with me that any dona­tion should count, not just the ones at the high donor level, then I need you to join my team now. If you agree that I should be spend­ing my time lis­ten­ing to the issues and con­cerns that are impor­tant to you and your neigh­bors, instead of just “dial­ing for dol­lars,” then I need you to ask your friends and neigh­bors to come out to vol­un­teer with you. Together we can be a team that brings fresh ideas and energy to City Hall!

If elected, I will be your neigh­bor­hood advo­cate for edu­ca­tion and sup­port for youth and fam­ily pro­grams, afford­able hous­ing and bet­ter land use poli­cies, and an effi­cient and equi­table trans­porta­tion system.
